Tyrannosapien

Description

Tyrannosapiens are among the largest, most fierce mammalian creatures of the new era. They weigh in at 3800 kg or more, stand 4 meters tall but with their long necks extended, can reach as high as 7 meters and are able to snatch arboreal animals right out of most trees. Although they can move about on all four appendages, they refer to walk in a bipedal fashion and use their clawed, front arms to slash and dismember other creatures.

When on the attack, this enormous creature will always employ any offensive mutations it might posses, first. Once any mutations are expended or prove ineffective, the animal will make a thunderous, ear splitting bellow. This roar is so intense, and overwhelming, that any creature smaller than the Tyrannosapien must make a morale check, failure means the creature is frozen in horror and for d2 rounds can do nothing but stare in shock at the giant predator as it charges toward them at full speed. For characters with no morale rating, each player character is allowed a type C Willpower based hazard check or lose d2 rounds of action. Those who are successful at their morale or hazard check can fight or flee as usual.

The tyrannosapien has two main modes of attack, both a combination of a bite and two claws, or a trample. The later is used when facing off against groups of smaller creatures, including humans, and involves simply charging clear through their ranks and stomping them as it goes. The T-sapien seems to enjoy this act, and makes what witnesses have described as a joyous, belly laugh as it wades through its victims time and again until subduing about a dozen. Each person in the path of this giant beast is considered attacked, with the damage being 2d20 stun and d20 lethal. If the tyrannosapien cannot run through the prey animals, perhaps due to the targets being among large trees, rubble or some location where the area behind is a solid barrier, river or cliff, it will instead resort to biting and clawing. The trample attack can only be made if it can get some speed up, and must start at least 24m away from the intended targets. After each trample pass, it must stop, 24m away again and turn and come back, taking four rounds, often giving humanoids a chance to either break and run in different directions, or fire upon the monster with missile weapons and mutational powers.

Does it have competition like Dragon lizards or giant bugs or other mega predators
